This weekend, tens of thousands of young people stepped into a new phase of life. Graduation marks a time of transition. These graduates celebrated the completion of high school and are excited about moving into a new phase of life. Some will begin college and others a career. Either way, their lives are about to change in ways they have only imagined. However, graduates are not the only ones for whom life is in transition. All of us are going through transitions in life.
Our best preparation for doing so successfully is by being Christians. Having Jesus Christ in our lives does not remove us from the challenges of transition; however, it does assure us that we won't go through our transitional times alone. Jesus will walk through them with us. What a comfort! Having Jesus in our lives makes the transitions more enjoyable when they're positive and more bearable when they're negative. My prayer for you is that you have Him in your life. Why? Because if you're not in a transition now, hang on. Your turn is coming.
To the graduates, congratulations on your achievement! May the best days of your life be those before you. Be sure to take Jesus with you.
